Our speakers today were Tom Duncan and Dr. Neil Bhamb. Tom shared that there are 3 things needed to be a strong community: 1.) A strong educational system, 2.) Strong Health Care System, 3.) Robust Economic Growth. He stated that it is necessary to have #1 & #2 , in order to have  #3 and Kenosha has all 3!  Tom shared that Froedtert South is evolving to become a regional medical center with the latest in technology and top physicians and specialists. He also shared that Froedtert South is debt free.  He introduced Dr. Neil Bhamb, who ended up in Kenosha by way of England, Chicago, Madison, and now here.  He specializes in spine surgery, providing tissue-sparing, minimally invasive approaches utilizing intraoperative computerized tomographic (CT) navigation.  This is similar to how Robotics work for other areas of surgery, allowing millimeter precision work.  Dr. Bhamb graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northwestern University in Chicago, earned his medical degree from  Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and completed hs OrthopeadicSurgery residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical enter in LA. There he obtained training in adult and pediatric spine surgery, including minimally invasive techniques. He completed the U of C - San Francisco Fellowship in complex spine surgery, where he trained with Orthopaedic Surgeons an Neurosurgeons specialing in complex spinal surgery, and he continues to combine techniques learned from both fields in his current practice.
