Tuesday's speaker was  Meridith Jumisko from the Kenosha Area Convention & Visitor’s Bureau( KACVB) which was founded in 1986 & staffs two visitor’s centers, one downtown, one at I-94. 2020 Visitors guides are out and the cover photo is of the annual car show, over 1000 cars entered last year and it is a boon to the local hotels & restaurants for that weekend. The big news right now was Restaurant Week - Restaurant week was bigger this year by extending out of Downtown, including West of the I restaurants.  p
The Restaurant Week Passport encourages folks to go to more than one restaurant by having servers initial the passport and then it goes into a drawing for local food and accommodations. Grand prize is an overnight stay at the Stella Hotel & Ballroom, other prizes include restaurant gift cards, museum admissions, and Kingfish tickets. Responses have been very positive with FB postings and online menu queries. Other events coming this year are: the pizza bakeoff, car show, etc. Event Calendar & additional info are in the Visitors Bureau Guide  at. https://www.visitkenosha.com
