Our speaker Hannah Warren had a work issue and was unable to join us, but has rescheduled for 9/22/2020. Hannah is a current member of the Rockford Rotary Club. She was a Rotary Youth Exchange Student, a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar, and a Rotary Global Grant Scholar. She is the Marketing Coordinator at Womanspace – Rockford. Womanspace offers programs for women, men and children to enhance body, mind and spirit, with a focus in the creative arts, holistic health, interfaith exploration, and environmental stewardship. She also founded a nonprofit garment cooperative, Jhoole (pronounced “Ju-lay”), a social enterprise, nonprofit, fair trade garment cooperative that employs women in Maheshwar, India, to allow them to be able to gain economic independence, invest in education and ultimately break the cycle of chronic poverty in their community. They sell their own Jhoole brand of products and also manufacture for a variety of other brands and companies.

It was a great opportunity for everyone to touch base and catch up and hope that many more will sign on for our next meeting on September 8th.
